Our community has been blessed with a new team of formators: Bro. Marreddy, the Director; Bro. Manoj, the Administrator; and Bro. Richard, the Socious. We are also delighted to welcome 35 new Pre-Novices from eight Indian provinces into our fold.
First Community Meeting
On June 1st, we held our first community meeting, a heartwarming occasion for all of us to get acquainted. This gathering allowed us to share our family backgrounds and cultures, fostering a sense of closeness and companionship. It was a beautiful start to our journey together, strengthening our bond as brothers as we march forward to achieve our goals.
Inauguration of the Academic Year 2024-2025
"Transformation for the Prophetic Brotherhood"
We embarked on our new academic year on June 8th, 2024, under the inspiring theme "Transformation for the Prophetic Brotherhood." Our joy was amplified by the presence of Bro. Irudhayam, the National Chairman, and Bro. K.M. Joseph, the National Formation Director, alongside provincials from neighbouring regions.
Bro. Irudhayam inaugurated the new scholastic year by lighting the lamp. In his message, he emphasised the importance of learning and speaking English, urging us to seize the valuable opportunities before us. Bro. K.M. Joseph highlighted the essential role of prayer in our lives, underscoring its significance in our formation for the prophetic brotherhood. We wholeheartedly embraced his guidance and committed ourselves to a life of prayer and devotion.
Inauguration of the Theme and the Logo
Bro. George Padikara inaugurated the theme of the year, encouraging us to be ardent devotees of Mary like St. Montfort. He urged us to remain faithful to our prayers and spiritual activities. Following this, Bro. Johnson, the Provincial Superior of Yercaud, inaugurated our new community logo. Each element of the logo symbolises the various missions entrusted to us during our formation and future endeavours. In his message, he encouraged us to contemplate the elements depicted in the logo. Our inauguration day concluded with a moving prayer service, where we dedicated ourselves to our master, Lord Jesus Christ.
Classes and Formation
Transformation at Aruludhayam goes beyond mere change; it involves the holistic development of our character in spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, and social dimensions. Here, we are enhancing our speaking and reading skills, cultivating our talents in games and musical instruments, and deepening our prayer life through the Holy Eucharist, rosary, adoration, meditation, and reflection on the word of God. Monthly recollections and various celebrations enrich our experiences, helping us cherish each moment and find joy in our journey.
We are also adapting to the local climate and food, learning spoken English, and benefiting from the various classes provided by our Brothers. We are profoundly grateful to our superiors for their tireless efforts and guidance.
With enthusiasm and zeal, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming events and the growth they will bring to our Montfort Aruludhayam family.
